Workflow Research

Replace "this task" with the specific task you are researching.

  1. How often do you do this task? [multiple_choice]
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Less often
    • Never
  2. How do you handle it today? [paragraph]
  3. What is the hardest part? [paragraph]
  4. What have you tried to improve it? [paragraph]
  5. What happened the last time you did this task? [paragraph]

About this example

  • Five questions focused on frequency, current workflow, difficulty and previous attempts.
  • Keep “the last time” concrete so the answer describes behavior instead of a hypothetical preference.

Before you start

  • Replace “this task” with the concrete behavior you want to understand. Avoid naming your preferred solution in the questions.
  • Choose the decision this research will inform and recruit people who actually perform the task.
  • Decide how you will compare responses and which follow-up interviews will be useful.

Create your form

  1. Open the example and name the specific task in the introduction and questions.
  2. Preview the frequency options and four open questions, then create the Google Form in your account.
  3. Recruit the intended respondents, read the answers yourself and follow up on concrete examples rather than treating the sample as market validation.

Limits and settings to check

  • The form does not recruit a representative panel, enforce research quotas or estimate market size.
  • A convenience sample can suggest problems to investigate; it does not prove demand or willingness to pay.
  • SurveysAI creates the questionnaire and does not perform statistical analysis or interpret customer behavior.
