Create Google Forms with Claude

What you need

• A Claude account on any plan, including Free. According to Anthropic's help center, connectors from Claude's directory are available to all Claude users. Custom connectors are limited to one on the Free plan. On Team and Enterprise, an organization Owner may need to allow the connector.
• A SurveysAI account. It is created automatically the first time you sign in with Google.

Plan limits follow your SurveysAI plan. Free: up to 10 items per form (questions, sections, text blocks, images and videos each count). Pro: no item limit.

Create a Google Form with Claude, step by step

1. Add the connector. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click +, search for SurveysAI and choose Connect. Shortcut: open SurveysAI in Claude's directory.
2. Turn it on in a chat. In a chat, click + at the bottom left of the message box, open Connectors and switch on SurveysAI.
3. Describe your survey. Type what you need in the message box, for example: Create a short customer satisfaction survey with five questions in Google Forms.
4. Review the draft. Claude drafts the questions and checks them with SurveysAI. Ask for changes until the title and questions look right.
5. Approve and sign in. When Claude asks to create the form, approve it. The first time, sign in with Google and choose Allow on the SurveysAI consent page.
6. Open your form. Claude replies with the link to the new Google Form in your Google account.

Connect SurveysAI to Claude

SurveysAI is listed in Claude's connector directory. Open it and choose Connect; the sign-in settings are already filled in.

If you can't use the directory (for example, your organization allows only custom connectors), add it as a custom connector: add as a custom connector, or manually:

1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click +, then Add custom connector.
2. URL: https://mcp.for-google-forms.surveysai.com/mcp Copy
3. Authentication: Sign in when needed. Claude may pre-select "No sign-in". Do not use it; creating forms needs sign-in.
4. OAuth client: Register automatically.
5. Request headers: leave empty.
6. Advanced, Transport: Streamable HTTP.

Recommended tool permissions (Customize → Connectors → SurveysAI): set the read-only tools to "Always allow" and "Create a Google Form" to "Needs approval".

Permissions and privacy

• SurveysAI only creates new Google Forms (Google scope forms.body). It has no tool for opening, editing or deleting your existing forms, and it does not read their responses.
• Your Google authorization stays on SurveysAI's servers and is never shared with Claude.
• Claude receives only tool results: the draft check; for a new form its title, Google Form ID, link, question and item counts, any warnings and whether the request was a repeat; from the profile tool your SurveysAI id, name and email; and from the status tool your plan, item limit and whether Google is linked.
• The survey text you create is stored in your SurveysAI account, like forms created on the website.
• Access tokens issued to Claude expire after 1 hour. Access ends after 30 days of inactivity.
• Disconnect any time in Claude: Customize → Connectors → SurveysAI → Disconnect. Remove SurveysAI's Google access in your SurveysAI dashboard or in your Google Account.
• How Anthropic handles your conversations is governed by Anthropic's own terms.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude create a Google Form on its own?

Claude can write survey questions in any chat, but creating the actual form in Google Forms needs a connector that can use Google's Forms API. SurveysAI is such a connector: it turns the draft into a real Google Form in your Google account.

Is it free?

Adding the connector is free. According to Anthropic's help center, connectors from Claude's directory are available on every Claude plan, including Free. On the free SurveysAI plan, each form can have up to 10 items (questions, sections, text blocks, images and videos all count). The Pro plan has no limit.

Where is the form saved, and who owns it?

In your own Google account, created with your permission. You own the form and can edit, share or delete it in Google Forms like any other form. Claude receives details about the new form, such as its title, ID and link, but never your Google authorization.

Can SurveysAI edit my existing forms or read responses?

No. SurveysAI only creates new forms. It has no tool for opening, editing or deleting your existing forms, and it does not ask Google for permission to read form responses. Responses go to you in Google Forms, as with any other form.

Which question types can it create?

Short answer, paragraph, multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdown, linear scale, rating, date, time, multiple-choice grid and checkbox grid, plus sections, text blocks, images and videos. It can also make a quiz with correct answers and points, and send respondents to another section based on their answer to a multiple-choice or dropdown question. File upload questions are not available, because Google's Forms API cannot create them.

Will Claude create a form without asking me?

SurveysAI tells Claude to show you the title and questions and to create the form only after you agree. For extra safety, set the “Create a Google Form” tool to “Needs approval” in Customize → Connectors → SurveysAI.

Is SurveysAI made by Anthropic or Google?

No. SurveysAI is an independent product operated by i-dotazník s.r.o. It is listed in Claude's connector directory and creates forms through Google's public Forms API with your permission. It is not affiliated with Anthropic or Google.

Troubleshooting

"No sign-in - Detected"

Choose "Sign in when needed" instead.

"Authentication required"

Open Customize → Connectors → SurveysAI and choose Connect.

Plan limit message

Shorten the form to 10 items or use a Pro account.

"Google account not linked"

Sign in once on the SurveysAI website with Google, then retry.
